A 15+ year career at the intersection of art, technology, and storytelling. Developed an artistic and technical expertise in computer graphics, photography, film, and media through working at cutting edge companies such as Industrial Light + Magic, Dreamworks Animation, and Sony Pictures Imageworks.

Meta Reality Labs

Virtual Reality Quality Assurance Specialist (2021-2022)

Execute test suites at all stages of the product cycle for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party Virtual Reality Applications and Oculus OS releases. Worked within Horizon Worlds, Meta’s proprietary metaverse platform Horizon Worlds, to do in-depth testing and investigation into bugs and work with a team of other testers to validate updates and improve the application.

San Mateo Foster City School District

Virtual Reality Lab Coordinator (2019-2020)

Led 3 person team that in 4 months, created and operated a VR space in a public middle school from a low socioeconomic neighborhood, helping bridge the digital divide for many students

  • Navigated public education bureaucracy, policies, and other challenges to quickly implement VR learning modules into teachers’ existing curriculum. (for example virtually visiting Anne Frank’s House while students are studying the Holocaust)

  • Managed VR space which included 20 individual stations, Oculus Go and Oculus Quest 1 headsets, iPads, and other related equipment and software

  • Wrote the Operations Manual and provided all technical support that arose through daily use, such as classroom management (inside and outside of headset), to ensure a clean and safe environment.

  • Guided over 125 students and other new users to ensure a positive educational experience in VR

Freelance Computer Graphics Artist (2012-2021)

Designed and created the look of computer graphic images and scenes. Worked within a production team to determine elegant design solutions to artistic and technical problems to bring the director’s vision to life under budget and aggressive deadlines.

Worked on a variety of projects from preservation and digitization of 16mm home movies to an interactive 3D theatrical experience on the world's largest screens.

Dreamworks Animation

Designed motion, geometry, lighting, and look of computer generated objects and scenes. Create particle effects, rotomattes, cloth simulation, and motion tracking for digital composites. All it really means is I make pretty pictures for movies.

Past film credits include Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Harry Potter 3, Peter Pan, Hulk, Star Wars, Episodes I & II, A.I.: Artificial Intelligence, Perfect Storm, Space Cowboys, Jack Frost, and the Bounty Hunter video game from Lucasarts.
