About Me

Brian is an experienced creative professional with a background in storytelling, animation, mixed media, and film. He has strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills developed through work experience and academic background. 

After graduating UC Berkeley with a degree in film, Brian moved to Los Angeles and worked in various production environments, from being a studio office production assistant to getting on set for productions like Forrest Gump, where he saw firsthand the future of filmmaking.

He parlayed his UC Berkeley computer science experience (“It’s a UNIX system. I know this!”) and was one of the few people who actually knew what a blue screen was into his first computer graphics job working Free Willy 2 and Waterworld.

A 15+ year career at the intersection of art, technology, and storytelling. Developed an artistic and technical expertise in computer graphics, photography, film, and media through working at cutting edge companies such as Lucasfilm’s Industrial Light + Magic, Dreamworks Animation, and Peter Jackson’s WETA Digital.

Most recently, he has spent time focusing on ways to integrate Virtual Reality into education.
